Our companions went through a progression similar to a lot of others. Starting with kibble purchased from the store. With Jasmine ending up in the ICU for a week with IBS, we started to think. Switching over to homemade meals of cooked organic meats and quinoa. All was well but we kept doing our research, which led us to raw feeding. Ever since our companions are as happy as ever, full of life, energy and looking beautiful with amazing coats. Saving us time and energy by not having to cook their food. While also providing them with the nutrients they need that can be lost in the cooking process. THEY LOVE IT. There was one hiccup in the road, we came to find out they do not do well with chicken. As we continued learning we found a lot of other people have had a similar issue with poultry meat. Which is why we will not be offering it at this time.
Mother Natures Model
The average prey animal has about 10% to 15% bone, about 10% organs & the rest muscle & fat & connective tissue. Mother Nature's model: Raw 80% meat, 10% organs, 10% bone.
Freeze-drying typically retains 97% of its nutrition and can last up to 20 years! Freeze-drying doesn't affect the calorie count, the fiber content, or the overall amounts of minerals. Why spend money on treats that offer no value to your companion?
Our staple product, Grass Fed Organic Beef liver is rich in iron, vitamin A, B, and D, folic acid, phosphorus, essential fatty acids, zinc, and copper. These nutrients protect and support your dog's digestion, immune system, reproductive organs, as well as bone, joint, nerve and mental health.
All products will be labeled with Meat:Bone:Organ ratio. For example our organic beef liver treats are 100% organ so it would be 0:0:100.
Contrary to many public opinions, raw bones shouldn't splinter. There is no better way to support bones than with bones! Crushed real bone is a natural source of calcium, phosphorus, glucosamine, chondroitin, collagen and marrow. All of these components result in healthy growth in puppies as well as maintaining great joint and bone health for your dog throughout their life.
One of the cool things about freeze dried food is that it keeps its size and shape throughout the process. The only thing taken out is the moisture (water) which allows the food to last longer without spoiling. If adding freeze dried food to meals or as a topper you can add the water back by pouring in a bowl and allowing to sit for a few minutes. The freeze dried treats will start soaking up the water.
